⚡ Mini Spark — Ages 6 & under
⚡ Petite Pulse — Ages 7–9
⚡ Junior Current — Ages 10–12
⚡ Teen Voltage — Ages 13–15
⚡ Senior — Ages 16–19 -
⚡ Adult - Ages 20+
⚡ Age Determination
⚡ Solos: Dancer’s age is determined by their birthdate as of January 1st of the current competition year.
⚡Duets, Trios & Groups: Add up all dancers’ ages, find the average, and round down to the nearest whole number (decimals do not count). The final number determines the group’s age division.
⚡ Performance Divisions & Time Limits

Duet / Trio 2–3 performers Up to 2 minutes, 45 seconds
Small Group 4–9 performers Up to 3 minutes, 15 seconds
Large Group 10–19 performers Up to 4 minutes
Super Group 20 or more performers Up to 4 minutes, 30 seconds
Production 15 or more performers Up to 8 minutes
⚡ Electrya Note:
Time begins with the first movement, sound, or lighting cue and ends with the final note or motion. Please be sure your routines stay within the limits to keep the event running bright and on time!
⚡ Competition Levels

⚡ Lightning Division – For dancers training 6 or more hours per week and ready to take on the highest level of competition.

⚡ Competitive Division – For dancers training 3–6 hours per week who have some competition experience and are continuing to grow their performance skills.

⚡ Performance Division – For dancers training fewer than 3 hours per week, ideal for those newer to the competition stage or building confidence.

⚡ Starburst Division – A supportive category created for dancers with special needs or disabilities, celebrating expression, joy, and movement.
Director’s Discretion:
Studio directors have the flexibility to determine the appropriate level for each dancer or routine based on training, ability, and experience to ensure fair and positive competition.

⚡ Props

To keep every performance safe, spectacular, and stage-ready, Electrya has the following prop rules:

✅ Allowed Props

Only free-standing props are permitted on stage.

❌ Not Allowed
-
Liquids, glitter, gels, smoke, powders, paint, or any material that may damage the floor, unless pre-approved by the competition team.

📏 Size & Height Limits

Maximum prop height: 12 feet

Dancers may stand no taller than 5’10” when using props
-
👥 Human Props

Any human props must be registered participants and will count toward the group’s age average.

⚡ Technical Restrictions

Plugged-in or electrical props are not allowed to prevent technical issues.

Helium balloons require prior approval from Electrya staff.
