Lightning Awards

PERFORMANCE

Perfect for dancers who are new to competition or taking fewer than 3 hours of dance classes per week. The Performance category celebrates emerging talent, confidence, and the joy of dancing. It’s all about having fun, expressing yourself, and taking the stage with energy and heart.

COMPETITIVE

Designed for dancers with 3–6 hours of training per week and some competition experience. The Competitive category highlights skill, precision, and stage presence, giving dancers the opportunity to grow while showcasing strong technique and performance quality.

LIGHTNING

Our elite-level category for dancers training 6+ hours per week. Lightning routines are fast, powerful, and precise—these dancers electrify the stage with every move. Perfect for those seeking to push their skills to the highest level and leave a lasting impression on judges and audience alike.

STARBURST

A special category for dancers with unique abilities or special needs, celebrating talent, creativity, and courage. The Starburst category shines a spotlight on passion, determination, and the joy of performing, recognizing every dancer’s brilliance and individuality.

⚡Adjudication Awards

Routines are scored by a panel of judges, and awards include:

⚡Lightning Gold
⚡Platinum
⚡Lightning Platinum
⚡Electra Diamond (for near-perfect scores in Performance, Competitive, and Lightning levels)

If a dancer has multiple solos, only the highest scoring solo counts toward overall awards.

⚡ Lightning Leader Award
Awarded to the highest scoring dancer within each division and level, recognizing those who have electrified the judges with technique, performance quality, and stage presence.

⚡ Electrya Champion Award
Awarded to the highest scoring dancer across all divisions and levels — the ultimate powerhouse leaving a lasting impact on everyone in the room.

⚡ Scholarship Award
Awarded to the top scoring dancer competing in the Lightning level, celebrating both talent and dedication.

Special Awards

⚡ Lightning Bolt Award – Presented to the routine that electrifies the stage with unmatched energy and excitement.

⚡ Flash of Brilliance Award – Recognizes the most innovative or creative performance, pushing the boundaries of choreography.

⚡ Radiance Award – Celebrates the dancer or group that shines with confidence, joy, and stage presence.

⚡ Storm Award – Honors the most impactful and dramatic performance, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

⚡ Lightning Studio Award – Awarded to the studio with the strongest overall representation across multiple divisions.

⚡ Special Tour Prizes – In honor of the first-ever Electrya Tour, additional special prizes will be awarded to celebrate creativity, excellence, and standout performances throughout the competition.

⚡ Founding Studio Recognition Award

Because this is Electrya’s very first season, we want to celebrate the studios who join us from the very beginning. Every studio that competes during our inaugural tour will receive a Founding Studio Recognition Award — including a special plaque and a feature on our website and social media.

This is our way of saying thank you for being part of Electrya’s launch and for helping us build a competition that celebrates artistry, energy, and community.

All founding studios will be grandfathered in at set pricing for this season, securing their rates for future Electrya events.
